Apple's mac style launcher in windows xp

This give your system a very different look.you can easily transform your Windows default Taskbar into the OS X launchbar with the use of a tool called Aqua Dock. Reopen all the Opened Applications after Reboot Automatically

How to hide Windows Account ?

This technique is used as an back-track on any windows operating system.It is very useful on those computers where only limited user accounts are allowed by the owner,and each time to work on it,you have to ask him to fill password in the system.So let us go :

Firstly create a  new user account (as administrator,if you want )and then

How to Send emails in your HANDWRITING !

Making your own Cross Cable

In my last article i explained you the importance of CROSS LAN CABLE.A good learner like to learn each and everything in it's way as i do.Here i will explain you how to make up your own cross cable. 

You may make up your own Cross-Ethernet cable either by modifying the older one or buy uncramped ethernet wire which is easily available in market for approximately Rs.10 per mtr.

REQUIREMENTS : cat-5 ethernet cable ( or you can say network cable ),Connectors (namely-RJ-45,these connect the wire to lan ports in computer,RJ means registered jack ),Crimping tool(which helps connecting wire to the RJ-45,available for around 130-250 inr)

Transfer data between two Laptops using a lan wire

Hi guys,
I was hunting for this way for many days and finally i found it.You must be sharing GB's of data with your friends everyday as i do , but the way is different.You copy the same data twice but i copy it just once.Actually i connect my laptop and my friend's laptop directly and then copy paste between them instead of using some pendrive or external hard-disk.We will use a ethernet wire to connect two laptops.This ethernet wire is none another than the wire we use to connect our internet-modem with laptop,but with some different configuration.The wire we use with modem is a straight-ethernet cable,

but we need a "CROSS-ETHERNET CABLE" here. You may get this wire from local vendors in a range of 30-60 INR.There are further many types and qualities of these type of wires, but CAT-5 (category-5)type is sufficient in our case.Now let's begin ==>

<<  For FIRST COMPUTER  >>

< 1 > After Connecting two laptops with the Cross wire . We just have to assign ip-address of same network range.

< 2 > Open RUN(press window button with "r").type ncpa.cpl and press enter.You will see a window containing your network connections

< 3 >Select LOCAL AREA CONNECTION. and right click on it Then click on properties.

< 4 > dOUBLE Click on INTERNET PROTOCOL VERSION 4(TCP/IPV4)

< 5 >A window for internet protocol version 4 properties will pop up. Then fill the follwing details in it.

< 6 > Then press ok and then go to second computer.

<<  for SECOND COMPUTER >>

 < 7 > repeat the above steps and just change the ip address from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.3 in step.5.Then press ok.

< 8 >Like if you want to transfer a folder from first computer to second.then right click on that folder.And Share it with all the permissions to all users ie EVERYONE.like in this example the folder's name is NEW FOLDER present on desktop.

< 9 >Most Important Turn OFF the FIREWALL.(open run type firewall.cpl , then turn it off)

< 10 >Now go to second computer . Open run over there and type "\\192.168.1.2" which is the ip address of first computer.

< 11 >On pressing enter it may ask for username and password.Enter the same you have in first computer(put it on if you don't have password over there else all this is not possible)

< 12 >You are done . Now You can copy paste from first computer as if it is within your computer .

< 13 >To transfer data from second computer to first computer. Use The Above Steps Accordingly.

Hey guys, many times almost all of us reach at a point when we think " WHERE THE HELL OUR HARD DISK HAS CONSUMED "And then in that situation we start stumbling our hard disk in search of the BIG-Space eaters. The unnecessary space could be occupied by temp memory,by os(stupid one),by some silly programs,by mistake with us,or someone may have hide something in your system(which can be detected this way if it has a large size) Finding the target in such a case is not very easy for everyone as it is a time consuming process .If you are one of them , then you must use this tool named " WINDIRSTAT "  This tool maps your hard disk and present to you in pictorial views and provides a option to manage it from there only(like to delete it)..

< 4 > In right panel you can view details of specific type of file. like if you want to find out how much space is occupied by songs and movies, then search for the filetypes like avi,wmv,mpeg,3gp etc.

How to Disable the Welcome screen in Softwares(like word,adobe)

Guys,you must have noticed the Some Screens(mostly it is a image for software's logo) that come up when we start an application and before the program is fully loaded.Sometimes these Screens are referred as welcome screens but technically theses screens are called Splash Screen.Like of Microsoft Word as follows:

It is fine for most of the people but quite irritating for few, so if it is the same for you then you can disable or hide the Splash Screens after running the application.A tool called < SplashKiller > lets you hide those splash screens that appear when an application is loading.

How to Resize a Non-Resizable Window or Dialog Box

Hey guys,
Generally this tool is not of much use for a general user,rarely they will need it.Actually this tool resizes some of those windows which one can not resize by default,like properties of some folder,task bar settings,firefox tools etc.But This is of great use for the users who runs their pc at a screen resolution above 1280x1024,and have fed up with having to pick items from a list that could only display three items because the window didn't take into account the screen resolution, hence only occupying about 20% of the desktop 'real-estate'.


The software is ResizeEnable .The tool will work fine most of the time but there may be windows that do not respond to this tool.This tool requires no installation and can be run directly from the exe file. Just run the file and see your mouse convert into an arrow pointer.

It can be used for one more purpose.For instance, if you want to take the snapshot of the window then just resizing is a better option than to scaling the image later on.

Security Measure in Mozilla Firefox

Earlier i told you guys how to steel stored passwords in mozilla firefox(Click here to read more).From the day i got to know about this stupid feature of firefox,i was hunting for some protective measure and the one i got is very obvious.They people themselves provide the option to set a master password to all the passwords you store . The master password can be configured as follows =>

goto TOOLS>>OPTIONS , and click on USE MASTER PASSWORD.then a window will pop-up where you can enter your password.

After configuring the master password,the firefox will prompt to enter the password each time you try to access those saved passwords that means you need it when u login somewhere using saved passwords or you try to see the saved passwords(as described in earlier posts).So in this way you may protect yourself from your closed ones.

Customise keyboard shortcuts using windows in built feature !

In my earlier posts i have mentioned the list of default keyboard shortcuts in windows(click here to view),and told about a software named WINKEY(click here to learn more about the software) which will create your custom keyboard shortcuts.The software can build the shortcuts for both an application or for some specifc folder path.The trick i am going to explain, can create keyboard shortcut only for applications . But still this trick is very handy as it can be used without software in couple of minutes.Now let us do it !



STEP-1 ]
Browse to the application's "dot EXE" file (which opens the software when double clicked) , you can browse to it directly from hard disk(the place it is installed , which is by default c:/ProgramFiles) or go to START -> ALL PROGRAMS and then browse to the application's EXE file (which opens the software when double clicked). I am taking mozilla firefox as an example.

STEP -2 ] A window will pop-up like as follows :

Click on Shortcut tab in the top. Then press your desired key-combination under "shortcut key" area.click on apply to save it.You can change the way of opening of application which can be maximized or minimized also.

FIRST THING TO DO FOR LEARNING JAVA-INSTALING JDK (HELLO WORLD)

The first thing one have to do for learning java is to install JDK(java development kit) specifically JDk_1.6 which keep on updating and the latest one is 20th. you may DOWNLOAD IT FROM HERE .after downloading it install it when the most popular way of windows that is NEXT->NEXT->I AGREE->YES->YES etc etc.just clik them blindly.
Now we have to start usng it. For that go to start ,type cmd over there and press enter.A new window pop up titled command prompt.here type javac and press enter.Oops nothing worked rather a error echoed.This is because the cmd doesn't know where is this javac file(exe) is ? actually when we type such sommands in it cmd it searches for the file in it's default loaction.but since the javac is at diff. loaction so we have to add it's path in the default value of cmd. for thi follow the steps.

1.>go to desktop,right click on my computer go to properties.
2.>click advance system settings. then under advanced tab,click environment variables

now click on NEW(the upper side), Anew window will pop-up.filll "path" (without quotes) as variable name and fill
variable value with the following path:

C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_20\bin
then press ok.

NOTE :dont add a new path in  system vriables else many of commands will not work properly in cmd.


Now let us check whether it is installed properly or not.go to start type cmd and press enter.now type javac in the cmd window.if it gives a long list of commands cum help then u installed jdk successfully else wise you have done some mistake so go back in the beginning and start again.

now suppose i have a file "firstprog.java" in the test folder in C drive containig the following code=>


public class grapes {
    public static void main(String args[]){
        System.out.println("hello world");
    }
}


Now in cmd type "cd /" which will bring you to root directory that is c:/ drive(fullform of cd is change directory). Now type "dir" which will list down all the sub-directories in that directory.

Now find the apropriate folder you are looking for which is test in our case so now type "cd test" in cmd which will bring you in test folder.

now to find java file again type "dir" which will list all the sub-directories and files.

now type "javac firstprog.java" and press enter.
if no repy message or error so it means it have been converted into byte code and its .class file have been created
now to see the name of the .class file again type "dir". A new file named "grapes.class" have been created.now to execute it type "java grapes".and your output will be below this command.

Hey Guys, using that CLI(command line interface) for compliing java is very iritating if you are working all day on java programs.And it is time consuming too.What if you able to compile it with just one click using GUI(graphical user interface).There are certain IDE(INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT) including text editor(java specific) and  java compiler . The popular one are like NETBEANS , ECLIPSE , JCREATOR JAVA STUDIO etc . But among them eclipse is the best as this software have much more functionality than just compiling the java program on one click , like

=> Highlighting the syntax(similar to the turbo c++)

=>Correcting your basic mistakes(like closing of curly brackets)

1.> UNZIP it , then open that folder(normal one which is made after unzippping).And then double click eclipse.exe . Install it .

2.>After opening the IDE. let us write first program (of all languages) to print HELLO WORLD.Click on FILE,then NEW , then JAVA PROJECT.

3.>Type in the name for your project.and press FINISH.

4.>See in right side panel called package explorer.Arpit name folder is created which contains all java project.CLICK on it. it has further directories,right lick on SRC click on NEW and then on  class.
then write down the name of that class in my case i have entered GRAPES. and then click finish. And you are done.Now just go one and start writing the program.EXAMPLE=>

}

just copy it over there and press PLAY TYPE BUTTON(just below refractor), play as java aplication and then again press ok.then u'll see the output as HELLO WORLD in the bottom window section. tagged under console tab

How to Convert FAT PARTITION to NTFS

This article describes how to convert FAT disks to NTFS.Before you decide which file system to use, you should understand the benefits and limitations of each of them. Changing a volume's existing file system can be time–consuming, so choose the file system that best suits your long–term needs. If you decide to use a different file system, you must back up your data and then reformat the volume using the new file system. However, you can convert a FAT or FAT32 volume to an NTFS volume without formatting the volume, though it is still a good idea to back up your data before you convert.
Note  Some older programs may not run on an NTFS volume, so you should research the current requirements for your software before converting.NTFS is the recommended file system because it’s is more powerful than FAT or FAT32, and includes features required for hosting Active Directory as well as other important security features. You can use features such as Active Directory and domain–based security only by choosing NTFS as your file system.

To convert a volume to NTFS from the command prompt :

1. Open Command Prompt. ( Open RUN,type CMD and then hit enter)
   
2. In the command prompt window, type: convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs
   

For example, typing convert D: /fs:ntfs would format drive D: with the ntfs format. You can convert FAT or FAT32 volumes to NTFS with this command.

Important  Once you convert a drive or partition to NTFS, you cannot simply convert it back to FAT or FAT32. You will need to reformat the drive or partition which will erase all data, including programs and personal files, on the partition.

A derivative of the file allocation table (FAT) file system. FAT32 supports smaller cluster sizes and larger volumes than FAT, which results in more efficient space allocation on FAT32 volumes.
NTFS File System
An advanced file system that provides performance, security, reliability, and advanced features that are not found in any version of FAT. For example, NTFS guarantees volume consistency by using standard transaction logging and recovery techniques. If a system fails, NTFS uses its log file and checkpoint information to restore the consistency of the file system. In Windows 2000 and Windows XP, NTFS also provides advanced features such as file and folder permissions, encryption, disk quotas, and compression.

Pakistan as PORN-istan !

Pakistan may well be named  as 'Pornistan' after search trends thrown by Google indicate that it is the world leader in porn searches.

Pakistan has been ranked as the top country for searching sex-related terms, according to a Fox News report.

"So here's the irony: Google ranks Pakistan No. 1 in the world in searches for pornographic terms, outranking every other country in the world in searches per person for certain sex-related content," the report reads.

"Pakistan is top dog in searches per-person for 'horse sex' since 2004, 'donkey sex' since 2007, 'rape pictures' between 2004 and 2009, 'rape sex' since 2004, 'child sex' between 2004 and 2007 and since 2009, 'animal sex' since 2004 and 'dog sex' since 2005, according to Google Trends and Google Insights, features of Google that generate data based on popular search terms."

The country also tops - or has been No.1 - in searches for "sex," "camel sex," "rape video," "child sex video" and some other unprintable searches.

Google Trends generates data of popular search terms in geographic locations during specific time frames. Google Insights is a more advanced version that allows users to filter a search to geographic locations, time frames and the nature of a search, including web, images, products and news.

Pakistan ranked No. 1 in all the searches listed above on Google Trends, but on only some of them in Google Insights.
"We do our best to provide accurate data and to provide insights into broad search patterns, but the results for a given query may contain inaccuracies due to data sampling issues, approximations, or incomplete data for the terms entered," Google said in a statement, when asked about the accuracy of its reports.

The Embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan did not reply to a request for an interview, the report read.

In addition to banning content on 17 websites, including islamexposed.blogspot.com, Pakistan is monitoring seven other sites -- Google, Yahoo, Bing, YouTube, Amazon, MSN and Hotmail - for anti-Islamic content.

Pakistan temporarily banned Facebook in May when Muslim groups protested the 'Everybody Draw Muhammad Day' page.

Hey guys earlier i posted all the windows default shortcut ( CLICK HERE TO VIEW THEM ) . It would be very convenient if you can make new shortcuts with some clicks for your favorite apps or folder.For this we will use software named WINKEY. Following are some points which you can refer =>

# After installing it you will see the following pop up window.it contains some default shortcuts/ to see regular shortcuts go to help and click standard shortcut list.it will again pop up a window containing a list.

 

 

# To disable the winkey system tray icon , just right click on it and remove icon.

# Now to add a shortcut of your own. Click on ADD , again a pop up window will be there. Now just fill those forms as you wish and you are done.example is as follows :
